Very beautifully written as always. It was Julien with his son Nathan taking us through the story of his mother Irene Fayolle and Gabriel in Fresh Water For Flowers by Valerie Perrin that reminded me and made me ponder, download and re-read Bridges of Madison Country. Earlier in my early twenties I felt at her age what she did was incorrect and did not have much liking for this book though the story stayed deep within. Now understand that adding 20 years to life don't change much to our feelings, needs and wants. Age has brought an admiration to Francesca for her actions.

Somehow missed seeing this comment. 'Freshwater for Flowers,' oh my! Loved it so much, at one point I was recommending it to whoever I meet :)

Regarding Francesca, age has brought in a totally different perspective. We tend to blend black and white as we grow older, I guess
